Kendra joined CAW as the Program Coordinator in July 2018. Centering her career path around her passion for the intersection between the arts, artists and communities, Kendra approaches creative youth development through the lens of her visual arts administration and arts education background. Prior to joining CAW, Kendra was the Program Associate for Teaching and Learning at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, where she coordinated the logistics for professional development workshops for K-12 public school educators dedicated to bringing the artistic element often missing in NYC schools into their classroom curriculums.
An (extremely!) proud native New Yorker, Kendra’s life has been shaped by the transformative power of art from a young age, having spent countless hours exploring the same cultural institutions that she still frequents to this day. She is very excited to be working closely with the CAW programs team to coordinate arts programming that aims to empower young New Yorkers from neighborhoods similar to the one in which she grew up.
Kendra holds a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Bryn Mawr College, where she was also a Posse Foundation Scholar, and a Masters of Arts in visual arts administration from New York University.
An avid art appreciator and traveller, you can catch Kendra spending her free time checking out museum exhibitions and gallery shows around the city, cultivating her meditation and yoga practice, or planning her next travel adventure!
