Alana Pfortmiller

Alana Pfortmiller is a sophomore at Boston University, where she studies Political Science, Philosophy, and Psychology. She is extremely passionate about social justice, and this is why she has chosen to participate in Creative Art Work’s program as an animator for the purpose of portraying racism and transphobia in the health care system, as well as taking the opportunity to learn as much as she possibly can about other topics regarding social justice and climate change. She was born and raised in Washington Heights, and went to school in Harlem where she started playing rugby, and which she has continued to do for eight years. She loves to sing and paint, and she finds herself rather good at debate, which will come in handy when she becomes a Federal Judge.
