Since 1986, we’ve been at the forefront of change within our urban communities, empowering young people through arts programming that incorporates academic enrichment, creative expression, workforce development and community engagement.
We put creative art to work, helping young people develop the personal and professional skills that will meaningfully shape their futures for the better.
Our mission is to improve the lives of under-resourced New York City youth through the arts. We serve thousands of young people each year, through in-school and out-of-school-time classes, community art-making events, and youth employment creating large-scale public art. Our programs teach valuable technical and developmental skills while creating profound connections between our young constituents, their art, and their communities. Students are never charged for participation in our programs.
