Kejean McBride is an 18-year-old amateur graphic designer born in the Bronx, New York. He went to High School for Contemporary Arts which encouraged him to investigate how art can be impactful enough to initiate change within society. His designs favor creative uses of color and symmetry, simple text and imagery, while also conveying a message. He aims to improve on composition, value and spacing. His love for video games, anime and art in general led him into the field of graphic design. He wants to partake in more art working environments in the future. In this CAW program, he learned how to implement art skills into social justice posters. The message his work portrays is the disconnect between the police and the community and how this issue must be resolved in order to bring justice to communities who are being affected.
