Liz Ledesma

Liz Ledesma is a 19-year old junior at Hunter College, majoring in Sociology. She was born and raised in Washington Heights, with parents of Dominican descent. This is her first time working with CAW, and her first time working within the art and multimedia realm. This summer she learned was brought into the world of animation, one she had no clue of before, and was able to use what she learned to learn new skills and put those skills to the test. It made her a lot more interested in art and made her see how art can be used to express yourself about anything, especially activism. It made her more connected to her own community, and also to the art community. Liz likes to spend her time writing, finding new music to listen to, and watching netflix most of the time. Her dreams in life consist of possibly becoming an author, and helping marginalized communities using her activism.
