Sadiq Sobur is an 18 year old first generation college student, for his Bangladesh family. He comes from an immigrant household and was born and raised in the Bronx. Although studying engineering, he believes that self-expression is important to anyone’s life, both from a personal and on a community level. For this reason he is fascinated by any kind of creative production, whether it be writing, music or visual art. His own experience lies mainly in CG and VFX, however he has been expanding into graphic design with CAW for the purposes of activism. Being a member of a low income family has led Sadiq into taking politics very seriously, as he has grown up seeing how politics affects these communities.

With CAW, he began putting his focus into art when it came to foreign matters. Understanding that many around the world have it worse than inside the US, usually because of the US. His first poster design focuses on living conditions in Palestine. The piece is meant to get people to acknowledge the horrors of reality for those in the region. He has used the opportunity to practice and gain experience in composition in order to make an impactful experience for the audience. He believes the first essential step is to educate others on these matters, and with CAW he is doing so with his art.
