The CAW staff, Teaching Artists, Youth Apprentices, program participants, and Board Members who made the 2025 Benefit a huge success
Some of the over 500 guests at The Savoy Club
What a night! Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, donors, partners, and friends, our April 10th Annual Benefit for Kids wasn't just a night to remember—it exceeded expectations!
We are thrilled to announce we raised a record-breaking $1.25 million through the generosity of our corporate and individual donors. This tremendous achievement will fuel approximately half of our upcoming year's budget, empowering CAW to deliver transformative creative youth development opportunities to thousands of NYC youth.
Program Participants at one of three community artmaking stations
The energy in The Savoy Club was palpable as nearly 500 guests mingled, enjoying fine wines, signature cocktails, and delectable hors d'oeuvres, all set to the smooth sounds of a Truyols Music. Premier, Diamond, and Platinum Sponsors were treated to fine wines from the private collection of Bari and Neil Goldmacher during a VIP hour before the main event.
Our remarkable Youth Apprentices and Program Participants took center stage in our vibrant Youth Art Gallery, enthusiastically sharing insights into hundreds of inspiring artworks created by themselves and their peers in CAW in-school, after-school, and Public Art Youth Employment programs, and sparking engaging conversations.
Truyols Music riffing on jazz standards
The spirit of creativity was truly contagious, with dozens of attendees enthusiastically participating in our three community art-making activities. A popular memento from the night was the new CAW Art Activity and Coloring Book.
We are grateful to our wonderful honorees: Jeffrey Sussman, Executive Vice President, Edward J. Minskoff Equities; Joseph Fitzpatrick, Partner and President, TDX Construction Corporation; Paul Capurso, Executive Secretary-Treasurer Pro Tem, NYC & Vicinity District Council of Carpenters; and our Program Partner Honoree, Charles Reilly, Principal of The William B. Jeffrey Sussman
Executive Vice President
Edward J. Minskoff Equities
"Creative Art Works gives children, teens and young adults opportunity. Opportunity to express themselves, opportunity to collaborate with peers, opportunity to take inspiration from the world around them, and opportunity to have it materialize into a representation of themselves and their own community."

Paul Capurso
Executive Secretary-Treasurer Pro Tem
NYC & Vicinity District Council of Carpenters
“Creative Art Works does a great job of building confidence in young people. That’s apparent when you take a look at the mural in Montefiore Square. It was a big piece that cleaned up the park… I am privileged to be honored, but I think the honor should be bestowed upon the kids.”

Joseph Fitzpatrick
Partner and President
TDX Construction Corporation
"I've heard from principals that students love to attend your classes. It enhances their ability to learn, because they're using their minds and drawing from their inner selves to create something from their heart to their hands and through their voices. That's really important, and we're missing that in this world today."

Charles Reilly
Principal
The William B. Lynch School
"The impact all of you are making by partnering with an organization like CAW is touching the hand of a child on a daily basis. Don't forget that this is not light. This is impactful. You are changing the path of young people."
