Design Winners and Runners-Up were chosen by an impartial panel of industry professionals: Joline Jourdain, and Katy Freeman.

Grand Prize Winner and Overall Runner-Up were chosen by Andrew Sheppard, Managing Director, Transcend. Designs were evaluated using a matrix that included the unique attributes of the character, their bio, and their backstory, as well as the skill and creativity of the character art.

Superlatives were chosen by the CAW Teaching Artists at each high school.
