About the Artist
Leeana Soto is a 15 year old freshman at Fordham High School for the Arts. She's born and raised in New York City and currently resides in the Bronx. This is her first CAW job. She comes from a self-taught artistic background, which includes animation, traditional and digital drawing. She chose this program because she wanted to expand her horizons and improve her character design skills. The best thing about this internship for her has been developing a character that she's passionate about, and seeing the skills of her peers and friends. She's become closer to her table-mates and made a few new friends in this program. She has a lot more confidence than she did before thanks to the helpful feedback of her boss.
She loves to spend her time developing her own original characters and writing stories. She takes a lot of inspiration from the internet and the artists around her, which helps her develop her own sets of skills by learning from them. She loves to talk about her favorite TV shows and books, which includes Erin Hunter's Warriors novel series. She also takes a lot of her inspiration from the music she listens to, as they help stir imaginative ideas in her head. She's known for sharing her stories and artwork online for people to see, and she's gained a moderate amount of followers on her social media for it. But above all, she has her family full of artists to thank for her cultivated love of all things visual arts.
