About the Artist
Rosian Nformi was born May 25th, 2004, which makes her a gemini, which is why she believes she has so many artistic interests and qualities. She was born in Cameroon, in Central West Africa, and moved to the US when she was just 6 years old. She believes that she’s always been far more creative than her peers but her interest hadn’t peaked until she was inspired by her sister’s drawings at around 8 or 9 years old. And from then, it came almost naturally, some called her a child prodigy and teachers would praise her on her artistic skills all throughout her adolescence. It felt good to be seen, spoken so highly of and noticed for her talent. Going into her teenage years, Rosian became more and more depressed and stopped making and developing her art. She feels that her skill had digressed immensely and she now thought she was below her peers, her self confidence diminishing by the seconds. Friends and family now noticed that she stopped making art. She thought it was unfair, her depression kept her from doing what she loved most and from even lifting a pencil or finding motivation. Until she realized she couldn’t stay like this, she’d see artists online and art pieces which inspired her, she wanted to make art again, and she knew she had to start now.
