Zayda Rojas Character Design Portfolio

About the Artist

Zayda Rojas is a Freshman at The Theodore Roosevelt Fordham High School for the Arts. She was born in a hospital in Manhattan, and was raised as a Bronx girl her whole life. Zayda never worked for CAW, so this is a job she is still adapting to as to finding her way around her workspace and the people she would be collaborating with for the next month. Besides CAW, Zayda has never worked at a company that dealt with art and design so working as something she enjoys doing and getting paid for it, is an entirely new experience for her. The way Zayda found out about the CAW program was due to her art teacher in her 3rd period art class.

She was told to be paid for creating characters and designing. This captivated her due to the fact that she would be getting paid good money to do what she loves the most. She took the opportunity her art teacher promoted, and applied. By joining the internship program, she hoped to accomplish knowing how to create characters in unique ways besides her own style. She wishes to learn from others art styles and contribute it to her own, as well as making a new art style.

The best thing about this program she has experienced, was the group activities they did together to create characters in their own style. Zayda spends a lot of time around her friends and family. She loves to write poetry, make art, listen to music, and ice skating. She is known for her kind heart and open mindedness.
