About the Artist
Yi Liang lives in Queens, NY. He is a sophomore at Information Technology High School. He was born in 2007, in GuangZhou, China, the southern province of Guangdong.
Currently, he is majoring in web design. This is his first time learning about character design, though previously he had experiences working with still life art, painting and a lot of building structural drawings. Graphic design is one of his main skills; he has done a lot of graphic design related work. He worked and gained experience as a graphic designer at several organizations/schools and companies previously with a lengthy time of 5 years.
During his learning experience of Character Design, one of the importance of character design he learned is the line of action. Line of action helps to produce the effect of motion of a character at a certain scenario.

Final Character Design
Menshiki Tomoyatsu is one of the main warriors from the Ten State Kingdoms of the world. For thousands of years, these states have been fighting in the desire of obtaining more land and power. He grew up in a small village called Kaia village. Growing up as a child, he loved martial arts and would sneak to a martial art academy to try to learn it himself. But his family didn’t have enough money to have him attend the academy. His family worked as farmers, due to the ongoing war. It is even harder for them to earn enough for living. One day, recruiters from the army came knocking doors every single village attempting to recruit young men to fill in the gap of high demand of troop units and would be deployed in the frontline of the war. In the midst of deep thoughts, Menshiki believed that it was an opportunity to go on a great adventure and perhaps learn some fighting skills. After careful consideration, he has decided to join the military. Without telling his family immediately, he wrote a letter regarding his decision to fight in the front line. The next day, he signed up and began his adventure. This decision would ultimately change the course of his life. Nothing is good about war, he will experience the eventual inevitable death of his dear ones.
