Jacinto Mena Character Design
About the Artist
Jacinto Mena
Jacinto Mena is a student in his junior year at A. Phillip Randolph Campus High School. He is 16 years old, and has been creating drawings since he was 9. Jacinto is interested in soccer and was on a soccer team in middle school. Something Jacinto learned during the program was how to use proportions in his art. He used to struggle with proportions because he tended to overthink them. Jacinto’s fellow interns are all very creative and he believes they will all go very far with their art. The teacher has taught the interns very useful things during the art program. Jacinto was born in the Dominican Republic and moved to New York City at the age of 7.
Character Design: Naito
Work in Progress
Naito’s powers are actually inside of his armor - there is a spirit that possesses the armor that can be controlled by the user, which grants him many different spells.
Final Art
I feel really good about my character’s powers - it’s not something he’s had since birth but rather something that he won through trials and other challenges.
