About the Artist

Yunshan Zhu is a 17-year-old girl studying at Bayside High School as an art program student. She likes painting very much and has studied sketching for almost three years. Last fall, she finally had the chance to learn to draw cartoon characters. That is how she drew her first original character, Astara. She believes that as long as she works hard, she can paint well. At the beginning of this year, she finally started to learn how to draw by herself. She has always hoped that she can find her own painting style and use her own style and ideas to draw the world in her imagination, which belongs to the world of Astara. This is her first year of internship at CAW, and it gave her a lot of inspiration and helped bring her ideas to completion.
