Golnaz Esmaili
Teaching Artist
Golnaz is a multimedia artist and educator whose practice spans photography, video, installation, sculpture, and design. Golnaz has taught at New York University, PI Art Center, and Pardis for Children, where they developed original curricula integrating art, language, and cultural storytelling. Through a hands-on and exploratory approach, Golnaz encourages young artists to take creative risks, think critically, and use art as a way to see themselves and the world from new perspectives.
A graduate of Yale University’s MFA program in Graphic Design, Golnaz has exhibited internationally, including at the Queens Museum and other galleries and cultural institutions across the U.S. and abroad. Golnaz has also participated in prestigious artist residencies, including the Home Workspace Program at Ashkal Alwan in Beirut and MoMA PS1 with the ALLGOLD Collective. Their work explores themes of perception, space, and transformation through material experimentation and layered visual language.
