Social Justice Posters

No matter what comes your way, as long as you have someone by your side everything will be fine. The reason why I chose the picture of the girls holding hands is because it shows that the older sister has the younger sister's back. They have a good relationship and are a dynamic duo. I chose the waves as a background because waves are strong. I placed the girls in the middle of the heart the wave shaped to emphasize that not even a big wave can come between them. I want this poster to show that even if you are a strong independent person, having someone else with the same power is even better because they become stronger together.

The message of my poster is that when a person who is dealing with domestic violence doesn't look for help, it causes them to become stressed and feel like they are trapped. A creative decision I made to support this message was including a key hole to emphasize the trapped feeling. I would like my poster to encourage people suffering from domestic violence to contact the hotline so that they can unlock the key hole and get help so they won't feel trapped anymore.

Inclusive Stock Photography

The Inclusive Stock Photography project was designed to address the scarcity of people of color, multicultural people, and LGBTQ+ people in commercial stock photography by creating professional-quality images of these underrepresented people in a variety of everyday settings, including romantic and platonic relationships, family, and communities.
