Johanna Aenderl Ryan

Teaching Artist

Johanna is a visual artist specializing in monotype, sculpture and animation. She has taught visual arts and has collaborated on projects with artists in other disciplines, including creating cover art for a local musician, developing a workshop with a yoga instructor, and making images for filmmakers. Prior to her current visual art practice, Johanna worked for over a decade at nonprofits developing programing and building performance management systems. In 2020, she received an MFA from the New York Academy of Art. Her work has been included in group shows throughout the Northeast. She has a studio in Brooklyn
