Social Justice Posters
"We Take Care Of Each Other" captures the feeling of hope, support and innocence. Calm, relaxing light colors set that mood. The hands on the boy are white, representing an energy that could take on the form of anyone who supports the success of black and brown people. I want people to be more inclined to take care of each other and to be kinder towards one another, especially now when there's a lot of hate being thrown around.
Both of my parents are deaf, so I feel that I put a lot of myself into this poster. This poster is the better out of two versions I worked on simultaneously. I'm confident that the message in this one is a lot more clear, all the elements flows better with each other, and everything is easier to see, compared to the other poster, where everything was dark and you really had to focus to see the details. I feel that this poster is more successful since I can relate to it and explain it better.
Inclusive Stock Photography
The Inclusive Stock Photography project was designed to address the scarcity of people of color, multicultural people, and LGBTQ+ people in commercial stock photography by creating professional-quality images of these underrepresented people in a variety of everyday settings, including romantic and platonic relationships, family, and communities.
