Lewis Porter

Teaching Artist

Lewis is a graphic designer and illustrator based in New York. He holds a BFA in Illustration and a BFA in Animation with a focus on pre-production for film and television from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Originally from Georgia, he has spent most of his professional career in graphic design working for a variety of industries including print/publication, screen printing, manufacturing, food, and music. When not teaching or designing, Lewis can often be found walking the city, parks, and museums always looking for new artistic inspiration. A self-proclaimed "Space Cadet," he spends a lot of time in his own imagination, drawing, sketching, or trying to solve a good puzzle. He believes that art and imagination are key fundamental human expressions and strives to help others explore their own individual inner-universe and creative expression.
