Social Justice Posters

My poster is pushing for more financially accessible healthcare. I used medical imagery, like a mask and gloves, to connect to the subject. The business of the overlapping hands wearing blue gloves and the bright yellow color creates a sense of discomfort and heightened awareness of a serious and unfortunate issue. It is ridiculous that in a society that prides itself on advancement, people still struggle to take care of their health.

Many people don't like homelessness, but they don't know any ways to help aside from giving an individual homeless person money or food. My poster was intended to create awareness and encourage more effective solutions toward homelessness. I set this poster in a New York background, where there is a big issue with homelessness. I included an image of a homeless man to appeal to their emotions toward homelessness and to humanize the poster. I made my main phrase bigger to draw the reader in. Once the reader was interested in my poster, I included resources for them to use.

Inclusive Stock Photography

The Inclusive Stock Photography project was designed to address the scarcity of people of color, multicultural people, and LGBTQ+ people in commercial stock photography by creating professional-quality images of these underrepresented people in a variety of everyday settings, including romantic and platonic relationships, family, and communities.
