Shrenik Ganatra
Teaching Artist
Shrenik is a multidisciplinary designer and educator based in Brooklyn. Originally from Mumbai, India, he graduated from the MFA Graphic Design program at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore in 2017.
In addition to working as a Teaching Artist for Creative Art Works, he is also an instructor at Shillington Online, where he has taught graphic design since 2019 and motion design since 2024. At Shillington, he has mentored over 300 students, inspiring them to become great designers and future industry leaders. He previously interned at karlssonwilker and worked at Pure+Applied in New York.
Shrenik maintains his own design practice. His personal work is rooted in typography and covers the design disciplines of branding, type design, exhibition design, publication design, motion graphics, and audio and video production. His type design work is used by individuals, small businesses, large corporations, rock bands, and major motion picture studios around the world. He has won numerous awards and international acclaim from organizations such as Adobe, Creative Boom, The Design Kids, HOW Design, IDN Magazine, ATypI, Typism, Graphis Inc., Communication Arts, and others. Additionally, he has judged design competitions, and conducted talks and type workshops at the international level.
