Summer may be a long way off, but the deadline to apply for a summer youth apprenticeship with Creative Art Works through SYEP is:

Friday, February 27, 2026.

SYEP is open to all NYC residents between the ages of 16 and 24. You must be available to work the full six weeks of Cohort A, Monday — Thursday, from July 6 to August 13.

Here’s what you need to do to land the best summer job ever:

  1. Fill out the SYEP application online at application.nycsyep.com or via the NYC311 portal.

  2. When the application asks, choose one of the following organizations as your provider:

    * Inwood Community Services, Inc.
    * Children's Arts & Sciences Workshop
    * Brooklyn Borough of Community Services
    * El Barrio's Operation Fightback (EBOF)
    * Commonpoint

  3. Let CAW know that you completed your application and which provider you selected by sending an email to programs@creativeartworks.org.

  4. If you need help or have any questions, call the CAW main office at (646) 424-0392 between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and ask for Donna or Riki.

  5. Reach out again if you get through the lottery!
