Social Justice Posters

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, I feel like I have been trapped. I have never before been home without going outside for this long. I would like my viewers to look at this and realize that, no matter what our circumstances, we will always stay connected with our loved ones. I chose the girl with the mask as my primary image and used a secondary image to make it look like the girl in the mask is thinking about how she is still connected with her friends and family.

I want to draw people’s attention to the issue of bullying, which is not often taken seriously by many parents parents in general, and those in my culture especially. That is why I wrote the message I want to portray in both English and Bangla. In terms of the design, it wasn’t my original intention to have a black and red color schemes— my primary image was already red, so I made my text that color. I personally was a victim of a bullying, yet some people did not take my words seriously. Making this poster allowed me to express myself to others.

Inclusive Stock Photography

The Inclusive Stock Photography project was designed to address the scarcity of people of color, multicultural people, and LGBTQ+ people in commercial stock photography by creating professional-quality images of these underrepresented people in a variety of everyday settings, including romantic and platonic relationships, family, and communities.
