Linette Moore
Linette Moore, a Dominican born and raised in the South Bronx, New York, is creating art this summer to show and expose her message to her community. Art has actually been a part of her life for quite some time now, ever since middle school painting and participating in art class creating many pieces that describe her view on her community. She is an upcoming junior at CUNY City Tech. The best thing about Linette’s summer work experience with CAW has been that she gets to use photos that she took herself and transform them and use them for a cause instead of just having a picture in her phone for no use. The cause for making the artwork she is creating this summer is because she wants to expose the issues and spread awareness on what her community in the South Bronx is going through such as pollution and litter around every corner. This affects the environment leading to many problems such as blocking clean air, due to the amount of waste. She feels like as an individual, she can help her community to start bringing change or at least to come up with ideas to make it better.
