Rameek Roberts
Rameek Roberts is a 23 year old African American male who was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He hasn't done much art in his life except for ceramics and photography in high school. This is his first time working with CAW and doing anything multimedia related. Rameek believes that his summer work experience will be beneficial to the things he has a passion for such as photography and spreading the word about mental health. His experience with CAW has allowed him to build confidence in his art and has inspired creative ideas to sprout allowing him to expand his skill set in life.
Rameek Roberts whose art focuses on the stigma of mental health in society today and how to bring to light the issues that individuals with mental health deal with. As a person who deals with mental health Rameek art style at times is a bit too organized and simplistic but he’s learning to incorporate certain designs and ideas to make his work stand out. Rameek doesn’t have a lot of experience with art but he enjoys how artists can express their creativity, individualism, and freedom with their pieces and he wants to be able to do that within the art he creates whether it be photography or graphic design.
