About the Artist

Luis Mercado is a student at The Urban Assembly Gateway School for Technology, and for the past couple of months has dedicated his Wednesdays and Fridays to the Creative Artworks Program. Luis has been drawing since he can remember; however as of recently he has been focused on other things seeing as how college is right around the corner. He chose to join the program in order to spend time drawing and expressing his ideas. He states how his favorite part of the program has none other than the mentor himself Joey, compared to many individuals in the industry Joey was a considerate mentor who made sure the vision was casted — when it came to developing characters. Above all else Luis thinks, even when there is nothing to be said he continues to think, and that dedication to curiosity is what defines him.
