About the Artist
Ava lives in Queens, NY with her family after moving from Brooklyn. She is a sophomore at Manhattan Early College for Advertising. She began drawing in middle school and has struggled a bit and has gone through some creative art blocks in her time. Yet, she decided to keep doing art and has improved a lot since. Ava is still drawing and her art style has changed and improved. She has tried out digital, which failed, and she never tried any again so traditional “pen and paper" it is. Now, Ava is drawing and learning in a Character Design Workshop with Creative Art Works. She is learning new things currently and is trying to gain new skills so the character design program might help her develop new art skills and get better anatomy.

Final Character Design
I went with this design because I wanted it to stay original to my character, I also did not want to make big changes to Harlow's outfit or hair. I chose this color palette because my character is in between the border of life and death so I decided to keep her gray and white. I have gotten better with anatomy and I did change her facial features a bit. I am happy with the final design because I also added details from the border of life and death she enters after going up the creepy wooden staircase. I have learned that shapes can really come in hand with anatomy and even the smallest detail can make a big change.
