About the Artist
Esmeralda Balderas is a Mexican girl born in Manhattan with immigrant parents. She is a Senior in Chelsea CTE High School. She wants to study law after graduation. She likes to be creative when it comes to writing stories, and that's why she joined as an intern in the Creative Art Works Character Design program; to learn how to tell her stories through drawing. Her biggest goal is to bring her own story to life with drawings. She wants to learn how to draw, so that she can inspire others with cool drawings. In this program, She has improved in her drawing skills with the help of experienced artists. She will continue to learn new things for the future.
For my work in progress, I was thinking about making the very final scene of my story as sad as possible by making the bones look dirty so the audience would feel bad for the polar bear.
Artist Statement
For my final design, I was thinking about making the polar bear look sad and confused on a melting iceberg, which will make the audience feel bad for the bear.
