About the Artist

Claire Cancel is a Senior at Chelsea CTE High School. She was born and raised in Queens. She has had work experience but this is her first time doing an art related internship. She gets inspiration from the art in video games and movies. Claire first heard of the Character Design program through their graphic design teacher and fliers around the school. With the encouragement of her friends she ultimately decided to join when he saw how much it would help her to be more creative and learn more on how to improve her artwork.

Her favorite aspect out of the many designs she has worked on has been character expressions. She has learned numerous aspects of art while working, such as proportions, line of motion, and sketch practice. She has worked on a large number of art projects before and hopes one day be able to create her own art and inspire others.
