About the Artist

Jeffrey Dejesus Cano was born April 25th, 2007 in New York City and attends Chelsea CTE High School. He has always had a creative mind, but he couldn't always draw perfectly. Because of this, Jeffrey had always been on and off about art; going to art clubs, despite lacking the focus and motivation. It wasn’t until 2022, where he took on the graphic design major, and later in his sophomore year, he heard about the Creative Art Works Character Design program and decided to join. He saw it as an opportunity to practice and really learn how to design characters, since it was an area he had struggled with.

He joined Creative Art Works’s program and started to learn new stuff like combining shapes and lines of action. Jeffrey started using this to design characters and improve his artwork by using critiques/feedback from his facilitator, Abby Welch, his peers and various artists in connection to FunPlus. He hopes to eventually become a graphic designer or work for a comic book company.
