About the Artist

Luis Gonzalez Garcia is an artist who is currently attending Chelsea CTE High School and majoring in graphic design. With a passion for artistic illustration, Luis is constantly seeking ways to improve his skills and knowledge in order to pursue his dream of becoming a fashion designer at FIT.

Throughout his time in the program, Luis has acquired various skills and techniques that have helped him develop his artistry. He has gained knowledge in figure drawing, perspective and learned how to avoid creating illustrations that appear "flat." Additionally, Luis has developed the ability to think critically about how to convey emotions through his work. Luis draws inspiration from multiple sources that include musical artists like J. Cole and various Mexican artists, as well as his cousin, his parents, and their passion for skateboarding. These diverse influences have helped shape Luis's creativity and sense of individuality, and he believes that his unique perspective is an important aspect of his artistic vision.

As Luis continues to pursue his artistic education, he is eager to apply the skills he has learned to his future goals. Luis is determined to become a successful fashion designer, and he believes that his passion for artistic illustration will be a valuable asset in achieving said goals. With a strong work ethic and an unwavering dedication to his craft, Luis is poised to make a significant impact in the fashion industry.
