About the Artist

Tenzin Kunsang is a student from Informational Technology High School, located near Court Square. He graduated from IS125, his middle school and achieved honors in 6th grade.

This is his first art internship. However, he has work experience from working at a Summer Program called RISE, where he worked there for half of the summer, learning and helping the environment. During this internship with CAW, Tenzin has learned a lot about creating a character design, and techniques to help draw the face and other body parts. Such techniques also helped him with lining up the eyes, nose, eyebrows, and mouth.

Tenzin loves reading novels and playing games such as Valorant and GTA 5. These two games influenced him to create the character he has because in GTA 5 and Valorant there are a lot of actions and abilities which made him create his character in a magic world.

Character Description

My character’s name is Reo. He is a samurai from Japan that lives in a world where magic exists. He has a lightning shaped birthmark on his face, on his right cheek. Reo is 17 years old and despite his young age he has two personalities. His first personality is kind and honorable; however, in the face of danger, his personality changes dramatically to merciless and ruthless. When he was a kid, his parents sacrificed their lives so that Reo might live, which gave him his second personality. He was trained by his uncle who runs a dojo which is where he got his skills as a samurai. As a samurai he goes around doing quests for people for money.
