About the Artist
Tomas Flores is a senior at Information Technology High School. He was born in Queens, New York. This is his first internship and first attempt at doing art in a professional setting. Tomas first heard of the Character Design program through a friend and decided to try it out, to gain more experience in art. While working with FunPlus and CAW, Tomas has learned various skills, such as public speaking, perspective, and storyboarding so far. Throughout Tomas’ experience, he has improved his storytelling and character design, learning that you can always improve upon yourself. He one day hopes to be a great storyteller.
I wanted to create a character that reminded me of myself, but also someone who I aspire to be like.
For my final piece, I came up with a color palette and cleaned up my work. Overall, my character’s design is the same.
