About the Artist

Tong Xin Zhou was born in Hong Kong and moved to America 12 years ago. Now a sophomore attending Bayside High School, she has always been drawing and developing this particular skill at an early age. Her ambitions are driven by various complex art, particularly other artists’ works. She wishes to pursue a career revolving around creating something from pen and hand. This is her first time participating in an internship that’s dedicated to art, and she has acquired various practical skills that would further enhance her technique in drawing. From learning facial expressions, using ink to create silhouettes, experimenting with line weight, and many more, CAW introduced her to a plethora of layers that goes into developing a character of her own.
