Amari Outlaw-Clark Character Design
About the Artist
Amari Outlaw Clark
Amari Outlaw-Clark is a self-taught digital artist from the Bronx. She graduated from Wadleigh Secondary School of Performing and Visual Arts and is currently enrolled in Bronx Community College. She loves to create art because she loves telling stories and creating characters. The biggest goal she wants to accomplish with her art is to create an animated TV show or publish a comic book featuring her own characters and stories. She wants to be able to inspire others to explore their creativity no matter where they come from. This is her second time working with CAW and it has been just as rewarding as the last time. Under Teaching Artist Kristy, Amari has been able to learn different methods of character design and team building skills. The guest artist workshops from the gaming industry provided much insight into her art journey. The internship was able to help inspire her in her character design career.
Character Design: Jackie Nelson
Work in Progress
Two of the things I focused on were his shape and silhouette. I wanted to show off his more friendly side even though he is in such a dangerous career.
