About the Artist

Lizbeth Pavia is a junior at Curtis High School in the IB department. She is from Staten Island, NY. This is her first time experiencing an internship related to art such as the Creative Art Works program. She stays active and takes any opportunity that would help her gain experience, skills, and knowledge related to medicine, art, and other topics. She graduated from the Student National Medical Association and Health Professions Recruitment and Exposure Program. Watching animation movies and TV shows, viewing guest artists’ work, and playing video games inspired her to design her character. She learned the process of designing a character and learned many things from the guest artists, students, and Ms. Brandi. She was determined to learn how to illustrate digitally because it had interested her for so long.

Aria is a healer who likes to help others - but because of her physical features, everyone in her town is scared of her.

Final Art

I created my character digitally and used multiple colors such as green, yellow, and orange to emphasize the intensity of Aria’s physical features such as her costume, hair, and eyes.
