This summer, Creative Art Works is employing nearly 130 Youth Apprentices at six worksites through our Public Art Youth Employment program. We look forward to sharing the work with you as it progresses and hope you will join us at an unveiling, presentation, or premiere on August, 11th or 13th. 

Kings County Family Court Paintings

Teaching Artists: Natalie Raskin, Cass Waters.
Teaching Artist Assistant-in-Training: Sanjida Mou

CAW has painted more than 20 murals at Family Courthouses in Manhattan, Queens, and The Bronx; this project marks our second partnership in Kings County. A series of panels will create a more welcoming waiting area outside the courtrooms on the eighth floor.

The New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) Mural

Teaching Artists: Dani Coca, Emma Smoluchowski.
Teaching Artist Assistant-in-Training: Cayden Colorado.

As the Metropolitan Planning Organization for New York City, Long Island and the lower Hudson Valley, NYMTC provides a collaborative planning forum to address transportation-related issues, develop regional plans and make decisions on the use of federal transportation funds. CAW will be painting a mural in the conference room of the NYMTC offices that will express the values and mission of the organization.

Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) Mural

Teaching Artist Assistant-in-Training: Micaela Jimenez.

As the city's premier trade association, the Real Estate Board of New York advocates for sensible, evidence-based policies that strengthen communities across all five boroughs. CAW youth apprentices will be creating a mural that express the values and mission of the organization.
