Owen Lee Character Design Portfolio
About the Artist
Owen Lee was born in Manhattan in 2006, and has been living there ever since. He is an Asian American of Hong Kong/Chinese descent. In his free time he enjoys playing video games, volleyball, ping pong, karate, and hanging out with his friends. He has previously worked at a community garden and the Museum of Art and Design. In school, he learns digital design, and is an intern in CAW’s Character Design program, in order to improve his drawing skills. He plans to use these skills to draw things from his favorite pieces of media more accurately. During his time in the character design program, he learned the importance of simple shapes when it comes to forming a character. His art goal is to be able to make his ideas a reality, rather than just attempt to draw them and have them look sloppy.
Owen is also prominent in the Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps program, and recently started learning German.
